Verifying User Favorites Link

This function lets you verify whether all your favorites links exist or not. Once the verification is done, a Report xml file will be generated. This verified report includes the name and status of each Favorites link. The generated report is placed in the current user favorites letting you view the report on the Favorites tab in Knowledge Builder.

The verification reports use a time/date stamped file name making it easy to locate the most recent report.

Prerequisites

You have launched the KB Administration Utility and have access to the Client tab.

Considerations

You are familiar with navigating to directory locations on a computer running Windows.

You can re-name and delete individual User Favorites Verification Reports through the Favorites tab in Knowledge Builder.

On the Client tab, click the arrow button in the Select area to manage box and select Knowledge Builder Server selection from the list.

Under Knowledge Builder Server section/Use, click Verify User Favorites to activate the Verify button under Verify User Favorites.

Wait for the action to complete.

Launch Knowledge Builder to view generated User Favorites Verification Report.

Check path in the Path to current user favorites list.

Click the OK button.
